Attend the inspection appointment with the following items/documents:

  • Registration card/ Vehicle Ownership Card (VOC)
  • Photocopy of Owner's I.C.
  • Approved Permit (AP) (For imported, reconditioned vehicle)*
  • Hire Purchase Settlement (HP) (For cash with outstanding loan amount)
  • Vehicle Invoice (For cash purchase)
  • 3rd party authorization letter (For vehicle under different name)

Inspection appointment generally shall not take longer than half an hour. Our professional inspectors will perform a thorough 100-point inspection of your vehicle. Short road test will be included to help us determine the realistic condition of your vehicle. We will be taking photos for the purpose of record and reporting.

Subsequently, we will quote a Reserve Price for bidding** based on the inspection results.

Please refer below for the overall inspection process:

  • The inspection process will not take more than 30 minutes.
  • Expect a 100-point inspection of your car and also a short road test to determine the realistic value of the car.
  • Photo documentation will be taken throughout the inspection process for reporting purposes.

If the right conditions are met, we will give you an offer on the spot to buy your car. If you agree to sell your car to us, we will take over the necessary paperwork to complete the sale. An online bank transfer will be completed then and there.

However, if you want a higher offer, your car will be put up on our Certified Used Car Dealer network for a 2.5-hour bidding. For this, the reserved price must be agreed upon between and yourself before the bidding process takes place.

From the day you agreed to accept our offer, it is required that you handover your car to us within 3 days. Please also prepare the following documents during the handover process:

  • Approved permit (AP) – Form 1, Form 8, Form 69 (for reconditioned cars only)
  • Signed Bill-of-Sales Agreement (BOS)
  • Ownership transfer with biometric thumbprint
  • Collection of original vehicle ownership certificate (VOC) or original registration card (RC)

In the event that we did not receive any of the following documents from you, there will be a RM2,000 collateral hold by us.

With your consent, we will lower the reserve price if you opt to continue bidding.

To prepare for the official vehicle ownership transfer, you require to present the following documents:

  • Approved Permit (AP) – for reconditioned cars only
  • Outstanding hire purchase loan statement (if applicable)
  • Original car registration card
  • NRIC (or passport for non-Malaysians)
  • Spare keys

On our side, we will handle all required paperwork, remaining loan settlements with the bank and the final payment which will be made via online transfer directly to your bank account.

  • Unfortunately, if the car owner is not present, you are only allowed to bring the car for inspection at any of our inspection hubs near you.
  • Do take note for the official ownership transfer and transaction, the car owner must be present as their thumbprints will be recorded.

  • Non-Malaysian car owners must clear any outstanding loans with the bank first. Then the car owner must provide Puspakom B5 report before the vehicle goes into CarlistBid's bidding platform.
  • The ownership transfer must be carried out at JPJ's centre which means the customer's biometric fingerprint will be recorded before the final payment is made.

Yes. Vehicle owner(s) registered under the Police or Army ID must update their ID to the 12-digit NRIC number before continuing with CarlistBid's standard operating procedures.

Please refer to the following steps if you misplaced your AP document:

  • Visit your bank's home branch to request for a copy of the AP document.
  • If the bank does not have a copy, you have to visit the Customs located at Port Klang to reprint a new AP.

Do take note, there will be three(3) forms which will be collected: Form1, Form 8 and Form JK69.

To sell an E-hailing Registered Vehicle under Class 'HA', refer to the steps below:

  • The car owner must inform the E-Hailing company that they will be selling the car.
  • The E-Hailing company must inform the Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat (APAD).
  • APAD will then cancel the car's E-Hailing Permit.
  • The car owner must visit Puspakom to run the B2 and B5 Inspection and complete the ownership transfer and 'Tukar Kelas'.
  • The car owner must perform a biometric fingerprint authentication at the nearest JPJ outlet.
